4.0 Zones

Zone List

Usage

Use zones to identify areas needing to be grouped by Infiltration, Ductwork, Ventilation, or total heating and cooling loads. Zones are used for first and second floors of structures involving different units, a separate conditioned area, etc.

Add Zone

Press [Add] to create a new zone. Press the row of an existing zone to view the calculated values and edit the zone name.

Enter a description of the zone, i.e. "First Floor".

Load Summary

Pie Chart

The Pie Chart groups and totals loads:

Walls
Glass
Doors
Ceilings
Floors
Infiltration
Ductwork
Internal Gain
Blower Heat
Ventilation

Viewing "Slice" Values

To view the value of a slice, press the slice. The slice slides out to indicate the selection, and the name and value of the slice appear at the top of the pie chart.

Changing Context

Slice values are expressed as Percent or unit of Energy (kwh, BtuH). Press the [Percent|Btuh] tab bar to change displayed values.

Heating or Cooling

Slice values may represent Heating or Cooling loads. Press the [Heat|Cool] tab bar to change displayed values.

Totals

Totals contains detail for the displayed pie chart, total heating and cooling by reporting group.

Zone Load Calculation

Heating

Use the Heating switch to enable/disable heating calculations for the entire zone.

Cooling

Use the Cooling switch to enable/disable cooling calculations for the entire zone.
