New Customer
This topic covers creating new Customers including Customer Contact and Location. Always create customers prior to creating new projects. As an alternative, if you just want to create, test, and learn how to use the application a "Scratchpad" customer comes pre-populated. Assuming this is a new customer start with the Customer List View:
To create a new customer press the "add" button in the upper right-hand corner.
The Customer View displays:
Customer Name
Itentifying name for the customer. For residences this is usually the customer's last name; for business use business name.
Notes
A simple note area. You might indicate whether or not pets are present, access codes, etc. For the sample customers the notes indicate the purpose of teh customer and how the customer relates to one you might have in your business.
Contact
Name
Optional, Enter Contact Name
Title
Optional, Enter Contact Title
Main Phone
Optional, Enter Contact Main Phone
Home Phone
Optional, Enter Contact Home Phone
Mobile Phone
Optional, Enter Contact Mobile Phone
Optional, Enter Contact Email
Address
The address appears on the Load Report.
Line One
Optional, Enter Address Line Two
Line Two
Optional, Enter Address Line Two
City
Optional, Enter City
State
Optional, Enter State or Region
Zip
Optional, Enter Zip or Postal Code
Country
Optional, Enter Country
Complete the Task
After edits are complete press [Save] to make changes permanent or [Cancel] to cancel creating a new customer.
