The total number of bedrooms in the house.

#### Occupants

The total number of occupants in the house, typically the number of bedrooms plus one.

#### Construction Tightness

Represents the overall "tightness" of the building construction. The tighter the construction the more energy efficient the home. valid values are:

- Tight
- Semi-Tight
- Average
- Semi-Loose
- Loose

#### Fireplace Tightness

Represents the overall "tightness" of the fireplace construction. The tighter the construction the more energy efficient the home. valid values are:

- Tight
- Semi-Tight
- Average
- Semi-Loose
- Loose

#### Fireplaces

The number of fireplaces in the home.

#### Burner (energy)

Burner represents the energy taken by a furnace and or a water heater that takes combustion air from the conditioned space.

### Floor Heating Area

The Floor Heating Area is used for total volume calculation.

#### Width

Enter Floor Width. In our example 20'.

#### Net

The Net value is Length x Width. In our example 20' x 20' = 400 sf.

The Floor Cooling Area is used for total volume calculation.

#### Length

Enter Floor Length. In our example 20'.

#### Width

Enter Floor Width. In our example 20'.

#### Net

The Net value is Length x Width. In our example 20' x 20' = 400 sf.

### Exposed Wall Area

The total wall area exposed to outdoor conditions. Usually the length around the structure times the average wall height. A (pretty small) house 20' x 20' with 8' walls has an exposed area of (20 + 20 + 20 + 20) x 8'.

Enter length. In our example 80'.

#### Height

Enter the wall height. In our example 8'.

#### Net Area

The product of length and height. In our example 640 sf.
